This End-of-Season Survey from The Coaches Site gathered
insights from members of its global coaching community of over
40,000 coaches, including youth hockey coaches across a range of
levels, from U6 to Elite, with varying years of experience and roles
on the bench. The survey explored key areas that shape the coaching
experience today, including organizational support, pressure to win,
parent dynamics, player challenges, and areas of confidence and
growth. Coaches were also asked to reflect on what’s improving in the
game, what still needs to change, and what advice they would pass on
to others. The result is a snapshot of where coaching stands right now
- not in theory, but in the day-to-day reality of those behind the bench.
